It seems every year while setting up the home show it’s below freezing outside. Sure enough, it was again this year. I had quite a few readers stop by the booth and say hello. I was especially surprised when my grandkids came by the booth for a fun, special visit.
The kitchen job that we started last month went great. We installed custom birch cabinets and finished with white lacquer. Then, we installed granite counter tops, tile backsplash and with the final coat of poly on the 5-inch oak floor, we finished this project with- in a little over four weeks. Another nice project for an- other nice customer.
Our next project is a basement finish. We started by digging out and installing an egress window. We had to jackhammer through about a foot and a half of frost... that was fun! Then we had a water proofer come in and install drain tile around the perimeter to ensure a dry basement in an old house. Next comes the fun when we can actually start framing.
